Look at her glow!

Look at her glow!

Miss Mckenna here is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. She may seem shy at first, but give this girl an instrument and she lights up any stage. Mckenna has a passion for music that is truly inspiring. I loved listening to her play her violin's (Yes, plural, she brought her electric one too!) as we photographed her in the beautiful hills surrounding Mount Diablo State Park.

Her AND her momma are true champions. "Whatever it takes to get the shot!" they told me, so although our shoes and socks were getting COVERED in grass burrs and other itchy scratchy annoying things, we climbed to the top of the hill for an epic Mount Diablo view just before the sun set. What a day. Ah, Danville, I miss you already.

Thanks Mckenna and Karina for an awesome evening in the hills.

At one point Mckenna started playing a song that I recognized, but I didn't know exactly from where. Then she said "It's the 'Sad Violin' song from Sponge Bob", and I busted up laughing. I was a Sponge Bob fanatic as a kid, and I guess it still shows... #nevergrowup
